Next steps in supporting the ecosystem

Dear Startups!

Indeed you have now graduated to the Startup Space. A hearty congratulations to all of you for achieving this significant milestone. We recognize that each team went the extra mile with developing their prototypes and solid business models.

A special mention and recognition going out again to our three winners;

  • Digicrops

We look forward to your official product launches at the end of September 2015 at the Prize Giving Ceremony. The exact date will be announced shortly.

As promised our support is not just confined to the OECS Business Solutions ThinkTank and Hackathon, but the next step is our virtual business acceleration programme, where the ECCB, Quintessence Consulting and eCaribbean Ltd. will work with the mentors and judges to provide support to all the eleven (11) teams to catalyse the development of their prototype applications into minimum viable products.

Some of the features of the programme will include the creation of an e-forum which will be a platform with the intent to build a start-up community  which fosters team building  and peer learning.

Through the e-forum, teams will have access to the following;

  • Advice & Mentorship/Coaching support through our network of mentors, coaches  and judges that will work together with your startup on application development planning, business and product strategy, growth and metrics, and investor pitches.
  • Connections - Through this network, you will get connected to other opportunities for hackathons , challenges and accelerators  as well as support for  relationships and partnerships building ; introduction to potential customers and investors and; where needed, access to demand driven courses.

These  initiatives are expected to support and nurture our startups’ prowess in application development and in the creation of new enterprises and jobs.

Information on the eforum will be provided in the following weeks.

 So let's get the ball rolling!
